Operations Manager – NT

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager SA/NT, we are seeking someone who can lead from the front when required and can demonstrate broad experience in managing a transport / warehousing operation.

This challenging role will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the depot, as well as being the operational contact for our NT customers. Key focus is to achieve the operational efficiency in order fulfillment, whilst ensuring our Local distribution and SA/NT road trains networks are running efficiently whilst maximising local opportunities.

Key Tasks:

  • Control and oversee all aspects of transportation and operations – Ensure efficient allocation and optimal use of fleet meeting internal and external customer requirements with a low cost solution
  • Lead, develop and motivate the staff through delegation, advice and direction 
  • Monitor the performance and behaviour of all staff and ensure appropriate standards are maintained
  • Work with the National Management team to meet the strategic objectives of the business
  • Work in line with company policies/procedures and KPI’s set to optimise business operations
  • Drive sales and manage client contact in geographic area of responsibility


Desired Qualities:

  • Experience in a transport or third party logistics environment
  • Excellent knowledge of transport compliance requirements including Chain of Responsibility regulations
  • Experience in Freight 20/20 or a similar transport system would be highly regarded
  • Strong Leadership skills, must be able to engage and empower team
  • Profit & Loss Management skills

Local Driver – Multiple classifications

Multiple positions available across different classifications (HR, HC & MC) for experienced Local Drivers to join our depots in SA/QLD/WA/NT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Movement of freight from depot across Metropolitan and extended area
  • Perform daily pre – start inspections, delivery run sheets & POD paperwork
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue, main roads, heavy vehicle operating guidelines and company guidelines, loading requirements, axle weights and any other relevant policy and procedures.
  • Manual loading/unloading
  • Exceptional customer service attributes required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Current HR/HC or MC license
  • Forklift license preferred but not essential
  • MSIC and Side Loader experience required for role in WA
  • Current license history report
  • A good understanding of load restraint, loading and unloading of general freight.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment medical

Forklift Operator – NSW/VIC/NT

Multiple positions available for experienced Forklift Operators to join our depots in NSW, VIC and NT.

Key Responsibilities

  • General labouring (Manual lifting to 20kgs)
  • Loading and unloading trucks/containers
  • Double checking the labels are correct, to eliminate freight misdirects.
  • Follow safe operating procedures and comply with company policy

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current Forklift licence (LF)
  • Warehousing/Transport experience
  • SAP Scanning preferred
  • Understanding the fundamentals of and ability to implement stock rotation and inventory control
  • High reach experience preferred but not essential
  • Be motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of a team
