Cahill Transport are currently seeking professional and experienced Local HC/MC drivers to join our organisation based in our Brisbane Depot (Lytton). This role will be Friday-Sunday Afternoon/Evening shift’s based out of Apple Tree Creek or Bundaberg QLD.

Qualifications & Experience:

·         Current HC/MC license

·         Current license history report.

·         A good understanding of load restraint, loading and unloading of general freight.

·         Knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth/State Safety legislation and Standards.

·         Tail lift experience preferred

Specific Requirements:

·         Manual loading/unloading required

·         Be reliable & punctual with a strong work ethic.

·         Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue, main roads, heavy vehicle operating guidelines and company guidelines, loading requirements, axle weights and any other relevant policy and procedures.

·         As a driver you will be the face of Cahill Transport and it is essential you have fantastic customer service and communication skills

Operating a fleet of over 160 vehicles and 250 trailers, we are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our friendly team based in our Adelaide (Direk) Depot.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in servicing and repairing prime movers and trailers. Cahill Transport’s modernised fleet includes Kenworth, DAF, Volvo, Western Star and Isuzu heavy vehicles.

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate and meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Diesel Mechanic qualification with minimum of two years experience
  •  Experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles
  • Engine, gearbox and differential rebuild experience preferred but not essential
  • Trailer servicing and repairs experience preferred
  • Demonstrate knowledge in Cummins, CAT, Mack, Volvo and DAF equipment
  • Previous welding experience advantageous
  • Previous exposure to American, Euro and Japanese vehicles preferred
  • Will have a positive and proactive attitude to get things done
  •  Team player with good communication skills
  •  Reliable and trustworthy
  •  Ability to work with minimal supervision and attend to after hour call outs as required
  • Capability to possibly lead a shift and mentor apprentices as required
  • Undertake pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing
