Workshop Supervisor (Trailer department)

As we continue to expand, we are actively seeking an experienced Trailer Workshop Supervisor to support our fleet servicing, maintenance, and repair operations.   

You will play a crucial role in shaping our workshop operations, mentor a growing workshop team, ensuring efficiency and compliance. This pivotal role will report directly to the National Workshop Manager and collaborate with various departments.


The Role:

  • Coordinate workshop activities to support operations and create a productive work environment for all team members.
  • Strategically support fleet maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and allocate works efficiently, including weekends and after hours when necessary.
  • Enforce robust financial management practices, ensuring budget adherence and efficient procurement.
  • Prioritise safety and environmental compliance standards with a strong focus on workshop performance.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team.
  • Timely and quality decision making, working effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Perform work on various trailers including – Kreuger/Vawdrey/Barker, flat top and tautliners.
  • Diagnose and repair trailers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Perform routine welding.
  • Document work orders and maintain records management.
  • Partner closely with internal operations teams and external business partners/providers.
  • 7am-3pm / Mon-Fri (with occasional weekends and OT).

About You:

  • Trade qualified.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in team management and motivation.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in workshop operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance schedules and compliance requirements.
  • Eagerness to develop and enhance our workshop processes.
  • Welding experience.
  • EBS & ABS experience.  
  • BPW Axle experience.
  • K-HITCH Axle experience. 
  • Possess a tool kit.
  • Highly safety focused.
