As a trades assistant, you’ll play a critical support role assisting with minor vehicle maintenance and repairs to managing paperwork and inventory (with full paid training provided), Your ability to multitask and adapt quickly will be essential as you tackle various responsibilities.
What you’ll do:
- Assist with minor repairs, including but not limited to, diagnostic work, replacement of mud guards, light globes, wiper blades, checking fluid levels, transporting vehicles to and from contractors (full paid training provided)
- Manage administrative tasks such as planning and controlling maintenance register of the NSW based fleet, data entry and maintaining records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Support inventory management by monitoring parts stock levels, ordering supplies, and organising parts and equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and coordinating with internal teams to address site needs promptly
What we’re looking for:
- HR Licence – essential
- Mechanical aptitude
- A commitment to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)
- A keen interest in mechanical work and a willingness to learn and grow in this field
- Strong organisational skills and diligence, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Proficiency in IT skills and familiarity with administrative tasks
- Prior experience in a similar role or industry is preferred but not essential
