We are currently accepting applications from suitably skilled Trades Assistants. These roles are based within our Laverton North workshop in Melbourne’s West. The successful candidates will be assisting our Mechanical Tradesperson’s onsite whilst they perform mechanical repairs and maintenance across a variety of trucks, trailers and assets.

The role:
- Support workshop teams with servicing/maintenance and repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on assets including routine technical repairs.
- Document work orders.
- Support the team with tools and materials handling.
- Housekeeping when jobs are completed.
- Assist in setting up equipment.
- Perform routine welding.
- Carry out minor repairs and modifications.
- Maintain a clean workshop, free of hazards.
- Assist in the washbay area.
About you:
- Former experience in repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles or working in a workshop – desirable.
- Former qualifications/apprenticeship qualifications – desirable.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Own a basic tool kit.
- A commitment to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS).
- A high level of attention to detail, quality, and commitment for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A willingness to cross-train in various areas of the workshop.
